Putri

TOEFL 560

When I was a teacher in the English course, I taught English for infants and/until elders. My class was always fun and cheerful. We did some fun games before the class session, or sharing our stories together. So I did that to build a good atmosphere in class before we start learning.

Hello, my name is Putri Rahayu Fadhillah. For short, you can call me Putri. First of all, I don’t know how I ended up engaging with English. But, my dad taught me since I was in elementary school. My old elementary school didn’t really teach English subject so my dad had to teach me himself. I fell in love instantly with English and I found it fun to learn. I didn’t attend any course in high school but I was still learning by watching movies, or listening to English songs. Never in my life I give up learning English.

As I was about to enter college, I asked my dad if I’m able to major in English but both of my parents denied it, so I was major in Economy at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), learnt there for 4 months and half and I graduated with cum laude. But, that didn’t stop me to keep loving what I love to do, which is anything engaging with English. I also worked at an English course, and I proved to my parents that I could still do well in my job as an English teacher though I wasn’t from English major

Past Perfect

e.g:

  • When I arrived at the cinema, the film had started.

  • She didn’t want to see the film, because she had read the book.

Dapat dilihat bahwa “she had read the book” merupakan kejadian yang telah terjadi sebelum “she didn’t want to see the film”.

  • He was late because he had missed the train.

“he had missed the train” yaitu sebagai alasan untuk “he was late”, kejadian yang terjadi sebelum “he was late” yaitu “he had missed the train”. Dia (laki-laki) terlambar karena ia melewatkan kereta nya”.
