Mr. Tommy Yonathan’s passion in English teaching was ignited when his parents introduced him to Bear in the Big Blue House series which later became his childhood obsession. He was fortunate enough to be the best graduate in English Education faculty with a 3.93 out of 4.00 GPA and 647 out of 677 TOEFL score, bringing home a prestigious Atma Jaya University’s gold ring award. With his achievements and background as a teacher since 2010, he believes that he can be your go-to person in perfecting your English.
Recently awarded with a full scholarship from LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan — Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education), The Ministry of Finance of The Republic of Indonesia, to pursue a Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) to any university of my choice. He chose Macquarie University, Australia, and will start his postgraduate study in 2017.
His students called him reliable, creative, genuine, resourceful and fun-loving. His impressive English proficiency and ability to present ideas in a very fun and interactive way makes him a top-drawer teacher. Even though he had been working only for 5 months in the end of last year, he already won the most votes from the students as the most favorite teacher among his fellow teachers.
