Taufiq

My name is Taufiq. I was born twenty five years ago in Magelang, a lovely small town in Central Java. I’m passionate with English since I was in elementary school. During my study in high schools, I tried to hone my English skills as well as I could do. Until someday I was accepted as one of English Department student in Universitas Gadjah Mada. I broadened my English knowledge there until I graduated two years ago.

After graduating from university, I applied my knowledge and skills in English by teaching English in some local courses. I discovered many fun and teaching methods done by my seniors when I work in local courses. After getting enough experience in teaching, I started to become a private tutor. I teach privately in my free time when I do not have teaching schedule in local courses where I work.

Besides teaching, I also like translation. I have been translating since I was in university. Translating paragraph by paragraph is interesting. I can learn to find the correct Indonesian terms for English terms in different context and vice versa.

There are some people who enjoy working in an office or big company with fixed working hours. There are also some people who enjoy working as freelancers. I am one of those who enjoy working as freelancers. Working as freelancer allows me to have flexible working hours, therefore I am still able to help my parents to do the household chores when I do not have working schedule.
