Shabrina
My name is Shabrina. Firstly, I’d like to describe myself as a friendly and easy-going person who really loves having endless conversations with friends. I love coffee, I’m very outgoing, and I enjoy meeting new people. It is both fun and interesting to me to listen at what other people have to say about certain kind of issues, or how they perceive various phenomena that have had crossed their journey. Furthermore, I’m also the kind of person who likes to get things neatly organized and there for I always start any kind of job, task, or activity with creating a plan.
I’m a highly motivated and hardworking individual as well, who has an eager to pursue a higher education. Social and cultural studies have become my interest since I have lived through various cultural experiences – I had lived in The Netherlands for quite a long time and had studied at St. Stanislas College Westplansoen, Delft (until the end of first grade of highschool) before I moved to Indonesia.
I live in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, now, and I recently graduated from The Faculty of Social and Political Science of Gadjah Mada University. I took a major in Communication Studies, concentrating on Strategic Communication, which emphasizes on identifying, analyzing, and managing communication processes in various communication contexts and levels, so that the appropriate strategies can be formulated and communicator(s) can achieve their established goal(s) more efficiently.
Finally, another point that I like to emphasize about me is that I like to challenge myself to become a better and beneficial individual for the community. I do really want to be able to dedicate myself, my knowledge and skills to my country’s development, and I’ve been committing myself to embrace this ‘mission’ in the upcoming journey.

Ms. Shabrina is the kindest teacher I’ve ever had. We are both the same age, so we can talk casually like friends. The class was really fun because we could have a discussion about our favourite things or the latest issue that is currently happening. She asked me about something that I wanted to learn and then we would work at it until I reached my goal. She encouraged me a lot and now I can feel my improvement in speaking and writing. She can talk and write in English very well, she’s nice, friendly, and she had an experience in living abroad, that’s why I highly recommend her as your English teacher. Thank you, Shab! 😀
Ms. Shabrina (or I can call her as Ms. Putri) is the best english teacher I have ever known!
As a teacher, she is very detail. She always gives me a comprehensive feedback after the meeting. Her class was so fun. I can talk about a lot of things with her, whether is a light or a heavy conversation. At our first meeting, she asked me about my goals, then she always prepares an appropriate topic for the class.
I feel grateful to have her as my online english teacher. I believe her english teaching style will inspire more students.
Learning English with Ms. Shabrina was always cool and refreshing! She let me call her by her name, Shabrina, so somehow… I treated her as a friend… a friend and a teacher that corrected my grammar mistakes, of course, haha! Our conversations were always flowing as if we’ve known for several years, eventhough we didn’t have anything in common.. quite the opposite, if I may say. ^^
She’s a bright teacher. She prepared the class carefully, even she still remembered some of the topic we’re sharing weeks ago. She suggested me how to do routine to achieve my goals (I’m still trying until now, hahah!). She also has experiences to share for both TOEFL and IELTS and suggest me to choose to try IELTS test instead (I was confused before) because it can measure our performance on a wider point of view (beside the fact that I need to get IELTS as a requirement to apply for a scholarship).
We also did some role play (as per my request) and she also gave me tips and tricks how I supposed to do (and to say) based on a case I were giving her. And more importantly, she can explain grammar in simple logic, so I can remember the use of that grammar well.
Thanks Shabrina for all the lessons you have taught.
